INSTRUCTIONS
For this assignment you will complete two game simulations using your browser. The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology has released training games to help professionals increase their privacy and security proficiency. They are called:
- Cybersecure: Contingency Planning.
- Cybersecure: Your Medical Practice.
Use the link in the resource to access the games.
Complete both of these training games until you reach the maximum score of 130 points in each one. Document your successful completion by capturing a screen print or a screenshot. Paste the images into a Word document where you will answer the following questions using the scenario feedback displayed during the games:
- What three plans are required in the HIPAA Security Rule? Explain each one briefly. Include examples of specific requirements in each category.
- Describe examples of risks created by third parties in a healthcare setting.
- What is the one role you MUST have assigned according to HIPAA? Hint: this person/role is the go-to person for all questions regarding HIPAA in your office/organization.
- What does the game recommend you do every so often to ensure your contingency plan remains up-to-date?
