Module 02 Content

  1. We will now get started on your course project. First, start by considering your topic. If you have a real product to sell or site to work with, great! If not, consider what you hope to be working on in the future and structure your plan so it will be applicable – a non-profit, a nursing home, a private business, an etsy shop…where do you plan to go?
Then research this kind of brand on social media sites and write about the specifics.

Next, consider your social media choices. The most popular are sites like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram, or Yelp. But you should think about your brand and what would work best: where would people look for your brand? What would be helpful to people considering and/or using it? Choose 4 different social media sites to work with for this project.

For this assignment, you’ll be turning in a basic outline of these ideas for your instructor to give you feedback. Since this project is a big piece of your grade, we want to make sure you are going in the right direction!

Your assignment should be at least 2 pages in length and should include:

    • a brief outline of your topic / brand
    • some research on similar brands
    • a list of your 4 social media choices
    • Submit your completed assignment by following the directions linked below. Please check the Course Calendar for specific due dates.

Save your assignment as a Microsoft Word document. (Mac users, please remember to append the “.docx” extension to the filename.) The name of the file should be your first initial and last name, followed by an underscore and the name of the assignment, and an underscore and the date. An example is shown below:
